Chapter 7
Ms. Kean called Sam’s mother in for a conference after her incident with John. The two women introduced themselves and had a seat. “I am very concerned about Sam. From what others and I have observed, she clearly shows signs of some significant abuse. I don’t think I have to repeat what she said just before she attacked the other student,” Ms. Kean somberly said.
Sue sighed deeply and said, “Sam can be very volatile and quick to jump to physical confrontations. Her father was extremely abusive towards her and she carries those scars with her all the time even though he no longer lives with us,” as she shifted uncomfortably her seat.
