Chapter 9
Sam was in biology class and it came time to form groups for a lab experiment. She certainly wasn’t high on anyone’s list to be a lab partner. At first, she told the teacher she preferred to work alone but the teacher replied that space prohibited it. Finally, one of the girls said she could work with her group.
She introduced herself to the group and while the other girls talked about a variety of things, Sam only focused on the experiment. She wasn’t comfortable working in a group and she detested wasted social interaction with others. She just wanted to get the experiment finished and get her work done.
