Chapter 10
Sam continued her after school routine in the gym. The other girls weren’t always there, so sometimes she worked on drills alone or would work out on the exercise machines. She found that it was preferable than going home to an empty house. She seemed to settle into a routine and life was uneventful for the time. She started to believe that maybe she could survive at this school if the other students mostly left her alone.
One day one of the girls Sam practiced with after school asked her if she was going to the dance after the football game on Friday night.
