The time came for Sam to make the decision if she was going to join the team, so again she snuck off to her private place in the library to think. Everything until now had little meaning and there were no strings attached, no consequences. If she joined the team, everything would change and there would be expectations put on her. It was likely this team wasn’t going to be very good and they were probably going to lose the majority of their games. Losing brings out the worst in people and they usually assign blame to the smallest, the weakest and the least experienced. She had played for bad teams before that did a lot of losing and the players took a lot of abuse from the coaches for that losing.
