Chapter ElevenI've been careful, evaluated the situation and his qualifications like I would've done with anyone else. At least on paper, George is the perfect candidate. Still, I'm having trouble trusting someone else, when Akhil's betrayal still stings so sharply. Looking over at him sitting at the spare PC, concentrating hard on whatever's on screen, I try to justify my actions further and swallow my apprehension. He seems dependable, and truly motivated. Fingers crossed this goes well, and I haven't made a massive mistake. How many people would have been happy to come here on a Sunday morning, to potentially work through the day and into the evening, preparing for a presentation that isn't even their job, technically?
