From The Depth of Gaia

The system looks almost like home, doesn’t it? Asked Tekia, “Almost but this monstrosity of a planet is not there.” commented Amelia at her pilot’s remark. “It does have a haunting beauty which is second to none, one might think, and then you find there is another one just as, if not even more bewitching then the previous gas giant.” “ Captain, the satellites of this one are amazing as well, each one is like a planet not a satellite specially this one...” the proximity alarm blarred at the top of its voice and Tekia with all her skills as a combat fighter came to light. Emm tried her best to help navigate but Tekia needed no help, indeed what she needed was for Emm to plot a safe path through four, three small and one larger asteroid. A pack of crude and small missiles are coming straight at their plotted course. Looking at Tekia, Emm understood what she needed to do as they have done this before and everytime she hated every minute of what Tekia humorously calls "NEED TO NAME THIS b***h RUN". Laughing out loud Emm plotted the course and watched Tek weave, slither, sling, dodge, shot flare their way to the biggest asteroid. The pack of missile is now only one and following straight at the asteroid same as them with it's target firmly locked at the small spacecraft.

Necessary Evil!

The words from the Gita has been on my mind ever since the project started. "I am death, the mighty destroyer of the world, out to destroy." This was said by Krishna who in the story was a divine being and the translated meaning from Sanskrit was, "Even without your participation all the warriors standing arrayed in the opposing armies shall cease to exist.." The meaning haunted me more than the quote itself for I was in charge of a project in which the difference between Krishna and myself was similar as I could also boast a claim similar to his. Although since the beginning of the project I was blind to see what I was creating for ambition and a chance to prove drove me more than my conscious.

Soon enough though it dawned on me as to what I was about to do.

Famine and death has been a growing epidemic. Fresh food and water was in a short supply. A base was soon found in a frozen planet with water. So with a source of fresh water there was hope that this crisis we face might be averted. The cost of buying a bottle of water was higher than the cost of some people living standards. It was estimated that with time mining and getting the water to the people would reduce but with no sign of it on the horizon and the population getting more desperate a new solution must be found and fast.

The urgency of a new solution was not because mass people were either dying or desperate. It was because people has now started to form groups to riot and protest. The general consensus was that while the poor suffers, the rich benefits from their suffering. This was nothing new as the rich always argued that the poor doesn't do anything about their situation but complain. This time was different though as with the crisis and with a leader that backed them.
