DAISY'S POV
“Give me that.” My mom took the vegetables from me. “Why are you so distracted this evening? You have been washing it for over 20 mins.”
I sighed in frustration as I peeped at Austin in the living room who was busy playing chess with my grandfather and laughing hysterically with my dad.
It was annoying that he was getting along with them too much because I knew that wouldn't benefit me in any way. I was grateful that my brother was not around as he had to go back to work. He probably would have sensed that something was going on and it would be difficult for me to explain without spilling the truth to him.
‘How did he even find where we are?’ I asked Ashley.
‘Did you really expect that he would let us be just like that?’ she questioned but I didn't respond.
