Chapter Three: A Stormy Path

As Emma and Jack's relationship continued to blossom, they faced their first challenge. Jack's job required him to move to a different city for several months. Emma was heartbroken at the thought of being apart from him, but she knew that Jack's career was important to him and she supported his decision.

The months apart were difficult for both of them. They spoke on the phone and video called whenever they could, but the distance was hard to bear. Emma threw herself into her work, trying to distract herself from the pain of being away from Jack.

One day, Emma received a call from Jack. His tone was serious, and Emma immediately knew something was wrong. Jack told her that he had been involved in a car accident and was in the hospital.

Emma was beside herself with worry. She dropped everything and flew to be by Jack's side. When she arrived, she found him with a cast on his arm and bruises on his face. Despite his injuries, Jack's first thought was for Emma, and he told her that he was so grateful she was there.

Over the next few weeks, Emma nursed Jack back to health. They grew even closer, their love for each other only strengthening through their shared experience. They realized that no matter what life threw their way, they would always have each other to rely on.

As Jack's cast came off and he was cleared to leave the hospital, he took Emma's hand and looked into her eyes. "I never want to be apart from you again," he said. "I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy."

Emma smiled, tears of joy streaming down her face. "I feel the same way," she said, "I love you, Jack."
