She’d been middle-aged when they’d set out and she seemed to have aged even more than the decade they had been traveling. Aubriot had stepped back from taking a leading role once the personnel’s survival was secure, leaving the tedious everyday running of the ship to the captain. Kes didn’t envy Vessey.
