“It’s finally weeeeekend, Anne!” Alaya shouted as she burst out of her room and wrapped her arms around her mother. “What should we do today?” she squealed, bouncing into the kitchen.
Anne laughed softly. “Well, what would you like to do?”
“I want to go to the park! Can we go?” Alaya asked, her eyes sparkling.
“Yes, we can!” Anne replied, glancing out the window. “Let’s pack a picnic basket… and maybe an umbrella. It might rain today.”
