  Moira's POV   I woke up early because I had to take Mirielle to school, far from Grandmother's manor. The room felt empty with only me there. Jude hadn't come home since last night, and I tried not to care.   Even though the hurt feelings were still gnawing at my heart, I kept telling myself that I had to start getting used to it.   I had a life to live, and I had to focus on that.   Mirielle's door was still locked, and I called her name repeatedly, but she didn't show any sign of being awake.
