Chapter Five : "DIANA CHUA ?"

Her phone rang and Mikayla turned to the screen,the noise interrupting Esther,s chatter. She picked up the phone,stood up and walked to the door,speaking in low tunes at first then she suddenly looked dazed.

She turned to the others after hanging up,they were alarmed.

"Everything is alright,I have to leave" Mikayla said.

"Are you sure,what happened?" Esther insisted.

"Diana....." Mikayla trailed off,she glanced at Vanessa and said. "You know she is going to be sad,I,ll leave now" Esther rolled her eyes uninterested.

Mikayla blared the horn when the car Infront of her refused to move after the traffic lights showed green,but the car still didn't move. Angrily,she got out of the car and walked to the car,a woman had her hand on her ear,her eyes was still,white,dead. Mikayla screamed,her scream alerting the cars on other lanes,she screamed again,holding her face and sobbing.

"She had an attack after getting a phone call" A cop said ,he had the woman's phone in a ziplock bag. He turned to Mikayla,she stood shock,beside her car. "Are you alright, Mam?" He asked.

"Yeah,I should leave,I have an appointment" She turned away.

With the delay, Mikayla knew she was not going to sign in as Diana,s manager,someone else was going to take the place of her relative. But as she walked into the hospital,she was surprised by the men in black corporate suits,with earpieces hanging on their ears,they were everywhere and she felt like a really important person was in the hospital.

She got to Diana's room,but they were two bodyguards at the door,they didn't stop her when she opened and walked in.

Running to the patient on the bed,she jumped on it,giving her a bear hug.

"What happened, darling,you got me worried"

"Get away from me!!" Diana shouted,pushing her off. "Who is this woman,get away,will you?"

"Diana.....,are you alright,it's me, Mikayla"

"I don't know you really,I just lost my memory,I don't even know my name"

"What?,my dear,you are my best friend"

"Really?,what is my name?"

"Diana Chua" A man said,his face stern.

Mikayla stared bewildered. Was she seeing a ghost,or was it really Rain.

"Rain?" She stuttered,the name made her shudder,she stood up from the bed.

"I am Diana Chua?" Diana said and Mikayla came back to her senses.

"No,you are not!" Mikayla shouted. "Your real name is Diana Han"

"She is not Diana Chua yet, but she is going to be soon" Lucas Chua frowned, Mikayla looked at him. He was like that,always frowning,like the angry but poor boy who was searching for nothing but attention and she smirked watching him display his childishness.

He walked to Diana,and smiled.

"Time to go home" He said softly,but feeling really awkward, displaying that soft side of him Infront of Mikayla.

"Who are you?" Diana asked.

"Lucas Chua,I am your fiance"

"What?" Mikayla croaked,but Lucas ignored her,while Diana stared at him.

Mikayla walked to the couple, grabbing Lucas by the hand,she indicated with her eyes,to talk outside.

"What are you doing!" She demanded as they got outside.

"Who are you to ask me that,it seems you have forgotten why I am called Rain" He said and she laughed.

"So you are proud of that name,what was I expecting of someone as lonely and sad as you"

"Are you done?,then leave, at least you got to see her"

"Are you trying to take revenge on me by trying to imprison my friend in your web of lies?"

"Revenge?,who do you think I am?"

"Not Diana,anyone else but not her"

"Shut up will you,and leave before I change my mind" With that,he turned and walked away. Mikayla sat on a chair,her face in her palms,she cried.

Diana looked around for the woman who claimed to be her best friend,being almost stupid because she had just lost her memories,she had to be a bit sensible and decide who she was going to be stuck with,that is until she could get her memories back. Instead of being escorted home by her fiance,she met a man,who claims to be her fiance,s personal bodyguard and a whole bunch of idiots who kept following her everywhere,she asked about Mikayla but no-one responded to her,even that damn bodyguard who refused to be friendly enough to just say his name.

"Where are we going to?" Diana asked after futile efforts to get the bodyguard to talk.

"Helen,s ,it,s a boutique"

"I know that name!" Diana cried. "I have heard it somewhere,is the logo coloured purple?" She continued even more happier,cleaning her wet eyes.

"I don't know things like that"

"Sure you don't "

"I think I am getting my memories back" She said again, beaming a warm smile but Bryan avoided her,turning away,he frowned.

Mikayla walked into her house, slumping tiredly on the sofa,she didn't even bother pulling off her shoes,she sighed,looking around the house.

"How could this happen?" She asked out loud. Knowing that thinking about it could blow her mind. "With Rain?,what,s his deal"

She didn't want to believe that that could happen,that Rain would bounce into her life again,and try to hurt her friend instead. The picture of Rain and how their story ended back in highschool.

"Rain is a damn murderer!,a murderer!! my god" She screamed, holding her mouth,she cried, hugging her pillow.

"Have you gone totally insane?" Amore almost shouted after Lucas finished talking,she turned to her mom, expecting her to dismiss this crazy idea.

"I don't see why it doesn't make sense" Genesis argued,her legs crossed,she peeked* at her hands.

"Mom,they must be another way to take care of that woman without getting involved physically"

Sarah Chua was quiet, thoughtful,but Lucas,s face was determined,whatever decisions Mrs Chua,his mother was going to take,he had already made up his mind to keep Diana,as his weapon. He could see that she was thinking deeply about this sudden request to marry Diana and what was this change from him to want to sacrifice his life for family.

"She is a confident one" She finally said. "We could keep her,she could be useful later"

"Mom!!,that woman doesn't look like she would help us in a thousand years" Amore almost screamed,Mrs Chua c****d her head to her direction,forcing Amore to be quiet.

"Are you going against me,now"

"At least we are going to finally have an engagement party" Genesis gave a sigh of exaggerated happiness,she stood up from where she stood and walked gingerly to Lucas. "You know how much it all thrills me" She whispered to him,but made sure it was loud enough for the others,smirking at Mrs Chua,she tapped his shoulder and walked away.

"Why did I send her to America,for Christ sakes" Mrs Chua groaned.

Diana blinked her eyes,staring at the white painted ceiling in her exclusive five star hotel room, with no decision on what to do next,she turned to her side and met Lucas Chua standing by the door,she looked at him,without interest.

"Why am I here?" She asked, as she slide out of the bed and stood Infront of him.

"Did you get some sleep?" He asked,coming closer to observe her.

"No,I feel......"

"This marriage is only for contract" He cut in, looking straight into her eyes.

"What?" She asked,but she wasn't as surprised as he would have expected.

"It is going to be as long as possible,I am going to help you get your life back,in return you just have to be my wife and help me secure my inheritance" He continued,and she held her head.

"I don't understand anything"

"Sign the papers when Bryan comes,and do not let him know that you already know" Lucas said coldly,not disturbed that she crouched ,holding her face. He walked out.

While Diana lived eighteen years in Moldova with her aunt and cousins and even with the other girls at love cafe,she knew more than she was supposed to know,at a young age she knew what she wanted to become. Being unable to know she was in the past right now,Diana knew she was like a butterfly looking for nectar,and just when she was losing hope,she stumbled upon a beautiful garden with so many flowers that would last her a lifetime.

Diana Chua?,why not?.
