Chapter Six

"You may continue," I smile and say to Catherine.

"Oh yes, thank you. My Alpha's name is David. And our pack is the Nightblood Pack." Catherine says

I mind linked Quinn and Patrick 'don't worry she's telling the truth.'

"You're pack hasn't always been hybrids, have they Catherine?" Patrick asks knowing the answer but asks anyway.

"No they have not. And yes, it is because of me. I was born a werewolf but mixed in with the wrong crowd and almost died. I'm sure you can guess the rest but, a vampire who was with us, gave me some of their blood. Which turned me into a hybrid but also saved my life. I was 15 when that happened." Catherine tells us as a tear rolls down her cheek.

I go to hug her but one of her pack members still in wolf form growls and jumps in front of her. I jump back just in time to not get slammed but it's paw.

"Is it anyway for your pack to treat the Luna of the people who are going to help them. If they don't want or help we can leave. And you can deal with your issue alone or with someone else. But you won't find another pack for 30 miles." Quinn says, catching me as I stumbled backwards.

*SMACK* *YELP* *whimper*

"No, I don't find that any way to treat Luna or possible allies. And this is Pete, David's nephew. He sent him as my bodyguard, which as you can see, he takes very seriously. And I apologize for what he just did." Catherine says after smacking the golden wolf banned Pete.

'Should we still help them?' Patrick mind links Quinn and I.

'Yes,' I say before Quinn can mind link back "He didn't know my intentions and was doing his duty and protecting his Luna. If he can help train some of our members we need him. I don't think anyone would protect me like that if it's not you Quinn.'

'Yes they will. Donnie would.' Patrick answers first.

'But she does have a point, Patrick. Especially if they're trained differently than us they can teach us a few things and we can teach them a few things I'm sure of it' Quinn says as he turns to Catherine and her pack.

"How many need shelter? And wants your plan of action to take back your territory?" Quinn says to her.

"Well we have 12 dead and 45 injured while there are 25 others who aren't really ready to fight due to the fact they need more training." Catherine explains. "As our plan of action, well this is it, protect the ones we can and seek out allies to help us take back our home." We agreed to take in the members who are injured and those who need more training.
