Order of Advocates for The Humans

Chapter Two

So let's start from how I was assigned to the man I fell in love with. Well the day started out as any other day I was going my usual routine when it happened...

***FLASHBACK***

I'm walking around Cyrodiil, a small city in our plane, when Margrie comes running up frantically, speaking so fast I can barely understand her.

"Okay, okay, Mar calm down. What's wrong?" I ask her, "Deep breaths first."

"It's.... Jack... He's in... trouble.. he needs.. your help." Margrie says through deep breaths trying to calm down.

Jack is my fourth charge in two months. Not because of anything bad happening but because the others were no longer in any danger. Jack however is in constant danger. Mainly because he is a danger to himself always getting into fights and doing reckless things. This time by the look on Margie's face Jack didn't get himself into a situation where he can't get out, he walked into a wrong place wrong time type of situation.

"I'm on it. Let the King and Queen know where I've gone," I say as I run to leave and find Jack's location. Oh, did I forget to mention, I'm the oldest princess of Fandell Kingdom. Everyone in Fandell gets a charge including the royal family unless they become King or Queen. Me, I never minded not being Queen Coral and just being assigned to watching over and protecting people. I like being useful in a way that doesn't involve ruling over my elven people.

***MOVING ON TO SAVING JACK.***

   So as l find Jack's location and pull a video monitor to assess the situation I see Jack is being chased... by a pack of wolves. As I said before we protect humans from anything. So I immediately run to get my things and head to where Jack is. (Oh another thing that I may have forgotten to mention is that we can show ourselves to the people we protect, but once we're finished protecting them, they forget us.) As soon as I appear behind Jack who is being cornered, the wolf leader shifts into human form and Jack bumps into me.

"Get behind me." I tell Jack as the wolf I know very well comes up to us smiling maniacally.

"Hello Cor, so nice to see you again. What's it been 2 or 3 years?" he says smiling warmly at me.

"Is this your little puppet, come to pull me out of hiding for you?" he smirks.

I smile back because he knows I could find him without using someone to lure him to me and I say, "Hello Quinn it's been awhile and no I didn't send anyone to find you, he just so happened to be here at the wrong time. Which isn't all that uncommon for Jack here. And as you know I have charges and assignments and he happens to be one of them." Jack looks a little taken back from the fact that I just simplized everything that's been happening to him for the last two weeks.

"Well he sure does smell mighty tasty and seeing as how he ruined our little game with the other human. We thought it only fair to play with him instead." Quinn smiles evilly.

"Now Quinn, you know I can't let you do that." I say slightly hoping this will turn into a fight. It's been so long since I've fought anyone or anything. It's only been a few days but it feels like forever seeing as this is what we elves are born to do, literally.

Quinn gets closer to me, so much closer his breath brushes against my cheek as he whispers in my ear, "Then how about we make a trade? Hmm? Just like old times?"

I shiver as his sexy, silky, voice sends memories rushing back and tingles down my spine. I think about how "old times" were just 4 weeks ago. I close my eyes and whisper, "I'd like that very much." And nibble his ear lobe.
