CHAPTER THREE

{Beware because you reap what you woe}

What she saw made her adrenaline pump fear into her mind. She didn’t know if she was in a dream or this was really happening. She saw a monster bonding in shackles. He matched the description of an Hyde. She remembered Liza once telling her about Hydes before she was murdered. She remembered her saying they had big eyes and pale skin with color like that of a mushroom and a huge body. She stood there staring has different thoughts ran through her mind, making her surge forward to Hyde. He wriggled his shackles as she walked towards him.

“Was she meant to move near it”? She thought as she walked towards it, when suddenly she felt that sharp pain in her hand again, her tattoo was glowing more brightly as she moved closer to Hyde, it made her feel like a piece in a missing puzzle that had not been found. The pain continued to surge through her hands until she could not move again. She walked over to a place in the mysterious place she was and took a seat on a rock she found there when suddenly her eyes caught something which was shining in the dark. She stood up from the rock and made a go for it. She was so surprised as she found a book lying there. She picked the book up and stared at the book like her life depended on it. She flipped open the pages of the book and saw the following word written in it.

She was so puzzled when she saw it, she flipped open another page and continued staring at it when suddenly her eyes caught another word just below the symbol she saw before.

CHARIS MALATU

She clenched the book towards her chest with an uttermost sense of hope. She made up the words, closed her eyes, then recited them, but it took her nowhere. She felt so dejected at the era of her defeat, but she still felt this faith held up high in her. She looked at the book with intense eyes, which caused her tattoo to glow once again, causing sharp pain to surge through her, making her fall to the ground. She took a look at the book which had already fallen to the ground just before her, making her find it hard to resist the tears which had already clouded up inside her eyes. She immediately brushed the tears off with the back of her hand and got her faith soaring high. She stood up from the floor and said the word again, but more carefully and with more faith this time when, suddenly, she opened her eyes and saw rays of light which were covering her body as she journeyed through the rays of light, some of her memories began flashing, right in front of her. She saw Liza and Ben and some other parts of her memories and this brought her sobbing quietly when suddenly she blacked out and all the scenarios came to an end.

SEVEN YEARS AGO {S.Y.A}

He didn’t know how the 7 gods of the district realms got to know about it but what he knew was that his days were numbered. He now regretted everything he did as he always had this feeling of guilt inside him. He paced around his room in a disturbing manner as he thought of what to do when, suddenly, he remembered the council of elders and decided to pay them a visit. He walked into his room and packed a few of his things for the mission which was now set before him. “CHARIS MALATU” he said, letting out a howl.

She opened her eyes and met herself lying on her bed with the book clenched tightly to her chest. She immediately stood up and made a dash for the kitchen with a lot spinning in her mind. She felt so tried and decided to get a cup of tea. She walked over to the water heater, turned it on and placed the teapot on it, then stood there waiting for the spout of the teapot to beam with steam.

Few Minutes Later

She walked over to the breakfast bar in the kitchen with the teapot in her hand, then reached for the tea just in the cupboard just over her head and scooped some spoonfuls into the teapot and added some sugar with cream, then walked out of the kitchen still looking pale, she made for the chaise longue in the room and sat on it still puzzled about all that was going on when suddenly she remembered max and decided to phone him over.
