Peter POV I've never watched anyone sleep before. It sounds strange, even to me. But I haven't. My life has been action, movement, control. Sleeping people are vulnerable, and vulnerability is something I've always avoided—in myself, in others. But now I'm watching her. Lara-Jean is curled on the couch, the morning light painting her face. Her dark hair spills across the cushion. Her lips are slightly parted. She looks young, peaceful, impossibly beautiful. I'm supposed to be in my room. I'm supposed to be maintaining boundaries. Instead, I'm in the armchair across from her, exactly where I fell asleep last night, unable to leave. Because every time I try, she might wake up. And I'm not ready for this to end. We kissed. This morning, in this room, I kissed her. Not for cameras. N
