Chapter 35

1501 Words

Peter POV "You know it's creepy to watch someone sleep, right?" Her voice is thick with sleep. Soft. Amused. I smile without looking away. "Good morning to you too." Lara-Jean shifts beside me, blinking slowly as dawn pushes through the windows. Her dark hair is a tangled halo. One arm drapes across my chest. She squints. "How long have you been awake?" "Not long." "That's a lie." "Okay. A while." "A while like ten minutes?" "A while like three hours." Her eyebrows shoot up. "Peter. Normal people sleep." "I did. Barely." She stretches, then collapses back against the pillow. "You stared at me the entire time, didn't you?" "In my defense, you're very distracting." She groans. "That's not a defense." "It's the truth." She rolls to face me. "Why were you awake?" "Thinking."
