Chapter Three

Adabell's POV

I just kept tossing and turning still not feeling settled. By one is Monday morning I start feeling this burning pain on my mark. The pain only increases and I let out a loud scream, "AHHHHHHHHH!" I start clawing at my mark trying to make it stop my siblings and parents burst in.

My dad yells, "FIND ZANDER NOW!"

Jonah goes to take off to look but sees in the distance an orange glow meaning there's a fire.

"Look!" Jonah exclaimed, my dad seen it and all the men take off to go check it out. When I feel it...... I feel Zander wake his last breath in a gasp calling my name.

I'm in my frenzy I let out one last scream and go up in black smoke. Next thing I know I am standing in front of his dad's place. I fall to my knees seeing the fire I let out a scream and a wave of water washes over the once home that belonged to my mate. I let the tears fall and my entire pack is around watching in horror. One cause they have seen what I just did and two because they watch as the once light in my eyes died.

Losing a mate is really hard on anyone and everyone knows it.

My family arrives and to their horror see Zander's mark gone off my neck where it once was and his name now a dull black. My brothers Gabriel and Jonah wrap their arms around me well my dad and a few warriors enter the ruins. Everyone can smell the wolf's bane and the gas that fueled the fire and knew it was no accident. If it was Zander and his father would have been able to get out.

"FIND THEM NOW!" My dad uses his alpha voice to make the warriors search. They were long gone and the warriors came back empty handed.

"Pack meeting seven am sharp women and children included." My dad growled out everyone bowed and went back to there respectful homes well the warriors doubled their patrol.

Jonah lifts me bridal style and carries me home. That night my siblings all stayed in my room holding me tight. By seven in the morning the whole pack had gathered. My dad explained he knows everyone had seen what had happened with me and let them know what I really was. I didn't really pay much attention to what all was being said or to the questions being asked. All I know everyone agreed that I must be protected from the man who fathered me biologically.

"I put a shield up no one is able to get in that isn't from our pack. They will not be able to see our territory anymore, it will just look like and empty forest." I whispered out I know they all heard me so I walked away and went back to my room.

The room I once shared with my mare now feels empty just like my heart. I stayed home from school for a whole week cause I couldn't control my powers. Them being attached to my emotions let me explain each power I have.

I can control the elements so when I use fire my eyes turn red. When I use water they turn a different blue. For earth they turn this gorgeous forest green color. When I use wind they turn white and when I'm angry they are black. I can also freeze things if I want to and I can put shields up to protect what I want. I have the ability to teleport like a demon I turn into black smoke to disappear and appear in black smoke where I want. Then I'm able to heal things cause of my angel powers but I can't bring someone back from the dead.

When I use all my powers at once my eyes turn a mixture of all the colors making them look like the galaxy. Once I do end up going back to school everyone murmurs about how my once powerful glow turned to dim light. They all sympathized with me and wish there was more they could do they can't.

I lost my other half I lost a piece of me now I feel empty without that half.
