My eyes kept darting to the back as I walked, trying to figure out what Sarah was thinking. I was the next person. Even though I was certain I hadn't taken the jade necklace, I couldn't help but feel fear growing in my chest.
There comes the 'what ifs' in my thought. I just packed in just yesterday, and she doesn't expect it to be me, does she? Though since Lucy's room had been searched, I was in no position to be against it.
We went to the entrance of my room and my hand trembled as I reached for the door. I forced myself to stay still, and I regained control before pushing further and opening the door. I got in and they followed. Sarah, Lucy and I stood by the entrance while the warriors stormed in and started searching.
