Chapter 13 Zoey I had just taken a break from the assignment I’ve been doing on my laptop when my cell phone rings. It’s Asher. For a moment I contemplate not answering, but knowing Asher, he’ll just keep calling until I pick up. Rolling my eyes, I reach for the device and slide my thumb across the screen. “What’s up?” “I need you in New York by tonight.” “Why does that sound like an order?” I ask, closing my laptop.
