“I don’t know what’s gotten into her. I’m so sorry Lorenzo” I apologised on her behalf. The mayor wasn’t at all impressed with Amelia’s sudden outburst in front of everyone but he also found it quite entertaining. I was completely embarrassed that she made a fool of me like that and I am worried that I have lost the respect of a lot of important people.
“She’s a bit of a handful isn’t she?” He chuckled. I rolled my eyes and smirked.
“Listen...” Lorenzo began as he started walking me towards the front door.
“I know from experience that women who don’t have an aggressive side to them don’t just lash out like that for no reason. Ariana did something similar at a business function when one of the waitresses was fixing my tie. She ended up giving her a black eye” he sniggered.
