Elliot's voice came out rough and broken. "Margaret... it's me, Elliot." His gaze clung to her as if afraid she might vanish again. Though only months had passed, she looked different. Her features were still those he remembered, but the timid hesitation was gone, replaced by a quiet steadiness. He swallowed, the words tumbling out. "I've been searching everywhere for you.
