After Rose walked around the room, she went to the balcony, and although the balcony of her room was not very high, for some reason she saw that everything below seemed very small, and yet Rose could see the people who were standing in the garden, and every now and then she saw people entering the woods that were open to the palace or coming out of it. The last time Rose was in the palace, she was amazed that the palace opened directly to the forest. Madeleine told her at the time that part of the forest was the property of the family, and now Rose understands the reason.
And here her mind brought her back to the main issue that she is here about: can she really accept that Joseph and his family are wolves?
