Catherine "scoffed" and carefully filled her lips with lipstick. "Liar, he's the total package; are you really not interested at all?" "Why should I?" Rose rarely accentuated her tone, remembering that night, and the emotions that had been buried in her heart revived. Catherine paused, then slowly mended the lipstick and smiled back. "Well, just kidding, don't be nervous, let's go back." Knowing that her reaction seemed excessive, Rose smiled a little apologetically and then left first. Catherine looked at her back, then glanced at the man who kept strangers away. For a long time, she smiled coldly and then followed Rose's footsteps. When they returned to the gathering place, the barbecue sauce was almost gone, and everyone set out to buy it. Rose naturally volunteered, But someone objected this time A male coworker named Matthew stood up and volunteered to go with her, and Rose readily agreed. Joseph looked at them as they left together and frowned. Joseph's feeling that Rose was ignoring him bothered him very much, but he was stubborn with himself and tried to convince his wolf, who was only talking to him when she passed by him, that he didn't care, but jealousy was another level, and it really put him on the edge, especially with Matthew, who he saw a lot around Rose. This was not a good thing at all, it was more like a warning. Matthew is a company executive in his thirties. He is of medium height and has an easy-to-get-close look. They talk and laugh all the way. "Rose, you're so lovely; do you have a boyfriend?" Matthew asked tentatively, turning to look at Rose's beautiful face. Rose felt embarrassed and shook her head when he asked. "Not yet, I haven't given it my full attention; I want to focus on my carrier first, so I am very busy for that right now..." While speaking, Rose felt his hand around her waist, and then Matthew's voice murmured in her ear: "So pure. Not a virgin, right?" Suddenly, she froze, like she was being bludgeoned. She struggled hard in his arms. He didn't intend to leave her. "Let me go, get your hands off me. If you don't let go, I will shout!" "Haha, have a shot; I worked at Jones' for years! When you shout, and the others see it. Who do you think will lose his job, you or me?" Matthew smiled evilly, but Rose did not stop struggling; in his eyes, she was just trying to play hard to get. Rose had not yet gotten over her trauma from that night she spent with Joseph, and she could hardly restore her relationship with Derek as it was. She was feeling very terrified now; she could not tell Derek what happened, and now…Matthew Matthew's hand on Rose's waist began to travel down her body, and despite her struggle, Matthew pushed her against the wall, blowing ambiguously on the edge of her auricle. He didn't push her hard, but it was like flirting gently and delicately. "I always made sure to satisfy every woman I got, so what about you following me, and I'll get us a room?" Rose was so disgusted with him. She didn't like Matthew at all from that angle, she respected him as a coworker, nothing more, and he obviously has a wife and children! "Never, just think about your wife; have you lost your mind" Rose felt sick, her stomach churned, and she pressed her hands against his chest to push him away. Rose moved her face quickly to the other side when he tried to kiss her, which made him grit his teeth angrily and then say in a threatening tone, "Don't play any f*****g games with me, little girl, let me bless us both or " "Bang!" And right before he could complete his sentence, the sound of the punch received by Matthew rose, while Rose breathed slowly as she opened her mouth in shock while seeing Matthew hit the ground and groaned in pain. It was Joseph, He could not sit at the table comfortably after he saw Rose and Mathis go out together, in addition to the constant insistence of his wolf, who did not stop urging him to follow them, and when he saw what happened, he could not bear it. Rose stood there for a while, watching him remove his coat and put it on her. and when the long-lost warmth enveloped her, mixed with his scent, she burst into tears. Joseph's facial lines softened a little, and he took Rose to his car despite the whining man behind him. He made her sit in the co-pilot seat, and Joseph turned to face her. At first, he didn't know what to say. If she wasn't in a bad state, he would have gone back to Matthew and broke his bones one by one. But his concern for her was greater than his anger. He looked at her for a bit, then said, "Where do you want to go? I'll drive you." Rose curled up in the seat, still panicking. She hesitated for a moment, but then said, more like a whisper, "I want to go home." Joseph nodded, Rose gave him her address, then he took her home, and neither of them paid any attention to the rest or to Matthew. at Rose's house. Joseph was gripping the steering wheel of the car as he watched her open the door and get out. He was fighting that strong urge that was pushing him to take her in his arms and stay like this forever, or maybe it was his wolf. "I'll get you a leave from the supervisor." Rose's eyes were red, and swollen. She looked at him through the window, bit her lips, and said, "About, um, about what happened, can it be between us.. please don't say it, I...." Rose's confused thoughts made her stutter. It hasn't been a while since she got this job, and she doesn't want to lose it, and she also doesn't want to position herself as a beacon for rumours. Joseph stared at her for a long time; he hated seeing her that weak, and he could not do anything to her; he also did not want to hide what happened, but he was also in a struggle inside his mind; on the one hand, he did not want to be in one circle with her; On the other hand, the word Mine was echoing in his mind non-stop, and after he stared at her with cold eyes for a long time, he silently nodded. After a quick thank you, Rose ran inside the building without looking back. Joseph's eyes glowed red, and his hand turned white on the steering wheel. It took him a minute to calm down, then he drove off again. . . . . . . . . . . The next day. Matthew entered the office, his face bruised, He looked at Joseph with great malice, but he did not venture to take out his anger on him. Besides Joseph being a favourite of the administration, Matthew feared him too. Everyone in the office knew that Joseph was somehow close to the top level. But neither of them knew his true identity yet, not even Matthew. So instead of taking his anger out on Joseph, Matthew decides to do it on Rose since she's the weak part. So when people weren't looking, he looked straight at Rose with fierce eyes. Rose ignored his irritation and focused on her business as usual. Rose was planning to forget what happened yesterday and pretend that nothing happened since Matthew took his punishment, but that was very difficult since Matthew was her manager and she had to get his approval for her work. Rose hesitated a lot at first, and whenever she encouraged herself to go to him, she saw that bruise on his face and remembered what he had done to her, so she hesitated until she mustered her courage, took the files, and went to him. Matthew pretended to be reviewing her work when in fact he only intended to humiliate her, and Rose was surprised that Matthew threw the papers in her face and then shouted at her and told her to do it again. "What the hell do you think you’re doing, Do you want to lose your Job, We didn't pay you for that s**t, go back and change it!" Rose was about to burst into tears; she had never been through any situation like this in her life. If her work was that bad, he should just have to guide her; to throw papers in her face and scream at her was another level of embarrassment. She blinked a lot, then bit her lips and pressed her hand tightly to prevent herself from crying.
