Gwen's POV
I woke to a piercing ring in my eyes as I felt a strong surface around me, the sensation I got was both comforting and unfamiliar. I opened my eyes and everything was blurry for a minute before my eyes adjusted and I found myself staring into the piercing blue eyes of concern that belonged to Alpha Blake.
His eyes held a mixed expression of worry and concern and something else… something deeper than I could place a finger to. I slowly averted my gaze from his and allowed it to wander around the room. I was still in my room but on Alpha Blake's arm. I caught sight of Aurelia and Elgiva standing nearby, they both looked sad, anxious, and curious and I could understand their emotions. Their first day of serving me hadn't gone well.
