It was after midnight, following a night out at the movies, that Alpha Blake and I made our way home.
The car headlights cut through the darkness, making the twisty road light up before wending its way home, back into the pack’s territory, it had been exactly what we both needed, as it offered a brief respite from the tension building between us.
I and Alpha Blake talked about the movie, we laughed at the good parts and the funny scenes, and for some hours everything seemed okay and normal again.
