Gwen’s POV
I felt the flutter of anticipation at whether or not I was part of his future.
The question hung in the air, and Alpha Blake's eyes went soft. He opened his mouth to respond but then he glanced at Nora, who stood a few steps away answer. Her eyes were filled with a mixture of sadness and longing. Alpha Blake hesitated once again, the words catching in his throat.
"Alpha Blake?" my voice was barely above a whisper, it was laced with hope and anxiety.
Alpha Blake dragged his attention away from Nora to look at me. His face twisted in agony since he knew that the words spoken would determine our future, and shatter Nora a bit more.
