“Lucinda…” John called out and I stopped, frozen in place just by the tone and sound of his voice. I could feel the little hairs on my arms stand up as I felt him move behind me and I closed my eyes as I breathed in deeply. “Are we going to ignore the elephant in the room?” he asked softly, his warm breath tingling my ear and I shuddered, not from disgust but in utter delight.
“Hmm?” I hummed out, it was almost impossible for me to keep a clear head with him being so close to me and of course, I knew exactly what he was referring to. I was not sure if I even wanted to go down that road with him, especially when we had such important matters to deal with.
“Come now, Lucinda…do not play coy with me,” he chuckled, and the tingles spread all over my body, making me feel more alive
