“He rejected you?!” Rose shouted out in shock, and I dumbly nodded as the pain washed over me as if it had just happened. “How could he do that to you?” she then asked as she got up from the stool and joined me on the bed.
“Easily, the feeling of betrayal outweighed any feelings he may have had for me. I lied to him for so many years and when he found out who I was, it was all the more reason for him to feel betrayed,” I looked down at my hands as I remembered the look in his eyes. “Of course, I refused to accept his rejected but I could not hold him against his will and so I let him go,”
“And then?” she asked, and I glanced over at my daughter and smiled.
“And over the years he has continued to hunt down supernatural beings and every so now and again our paths will cross…”
