Chapter 31- The warning

3074 Words

With another kick to the ribcage, Jerry knocked Hayden down. He bent over stomping him with his legs, smacking him with his hands, and throwing out lewd cusses at him. Hayden curled on the floor, as much as his smarting body would let him, crying out in anguish. He tried to shield himself with his forearms raised, but that was ineffective since he didn't know where any of Jerry's attacks would land on his body. Jerry's hits were random and cutting. They made Hayden grit his teeth in despair as he tried to contain the pain. However, he couldn't do that for long because these agonizing wails, that didn't sound like him, kept forcing their way out of his throat. Hayden would have fought back if he could, but this sudden attack from his closest associate had shocked him to languor.
