EPISODE EIGHT

Michael's POV

"But daddy, anytime I walk around the compound during the night hours, the moon follows me. Even now, it's following the car, does it mean each street or town has their own moon" Jadhiel said and everyone began laughing so hard in the car.

" Not really..I dunno know how to explain to your own understanding but just know that, it's only one moon we have" I said stroking her hair.

"But daddy..." Dennis interrupted what Jadhiel has to say again.

" No buts...Dad is tired and needs enough rest so don't trouble him"Dennis Said softly and Jadhiel scoffed.

" Don't talk to me, I don't like you" my eyes popped out from my socket at what Jadhiel said.

" Don't worry baby girl, you will like me soon" Dennis said smiling and Jadhiel who frowned.

" Em.. Miss..derise sorry Dennis... Where are you dropping" Natalie asked as she concentrated on driving.

" Am not dropping anywhere, I am following Micheal to his house, I need to watch over him" Dennis said and a smile escaped my lips.

" So you are now his watch dog or what, does he tells you that he doesn't has someone to take care of him or what" Natalie asked and rolled her eyes.

" Natalie...Mind your speech" I warned and she scoffed.

" Oh her name is Natalie, what a nice name for a stubborn girl like you" Dennis said jokingly.

" Am not a girl!Duh......." Natalie said and began singing.

The drive home was silent, Jadhiel was already sleeping on my laps still on her school uniform.

She must be so tired,my beautiful baby girl.

My hands ache badly, it has already been treated and bandaged.I couldn't to stay up to 24 hours in the hospital, just hate the smell of hospitals.

I wondered who could have shot me,sure I didn't offend anyone. I just need to be more careful.

Soon,we arrived home, Dennis carried sleeping Jadhiel in her arms while Natalie helped me in.

Soon Jadhiel was awake and began talking like a parrot. I took her upstairs to our special room as usual.

" Jadhiel..You know that daddy can't make use of his right arm now so aunty Natalie will be bathing and doing every other necessities" I said and her face turns pale.

" But Daddy...Who attacked you and shot you in your arm. Who made you feel this pain" Jadhiel asked with teary eyes.

" Come here" I said and engulfed her in a warm hug with my left hand.

" So I can finally be allowed to bath and put on my clothes by myself. Yippee! " Jadhiel jubilated and pulled off her uniform and ran into the toilet.

" Please don't get yourself injured princess and be careful" I said and chucked slightly.

My phone rang and I picked it up to know who it was, it was an unknown number though.

Amber: hello please am I speaking with Mr Michael.

I recognized her voice immediately, that crazy and stupid secretary. I so much dislike her.

Me: yes..Why the sudden call(sternly)

Amber : am sorry about what happened.....( Cuts her short immediately)

Me: cut that crap, am fine now so what else...

Amber: the boss said he is sorry for not visiting you , something came up and you can take a leave for a till when you're are strong again.

Me: okay...( Proceeding to cut the call)

Amber: hey please wait, don't end the call, I've wanted to ask .....

Me: I know you won't say anything meaningful..( cuts the call)

(Call ends).

Amber's POV

I smiled inwardly having talked with him, I kissed the phone muttering "I love you so much".

I fell heavily on my bed feeling bored and lonely,no friends , not boyfriend, fiancee,none of them.

I sometimes wondered if am cursed, I hugged the pillow so tight feeling damn lonely.

My phone rang and I jumped to see who the caller was. I hissed loudly when I realized it was Jackson.

I ignored the first ring and decided to pick it at second ring.

Jackson : hello baby

Amber: who is your baby.. please cut that crap..Why the call?

Jackson : what's the problem.... Anyways, I need you, I need to feel you inside of me.

Amber: are you drunk or something, do I look like your s*x slave or what. Infact, I cut every ties I have with you. I have being so stupid to have been giving myself cheaply to you.

Jackson : what.....How dare you speak to me in such manner, I swear down am gonna deal with you...( He ranted angrily).

Amber: go to hell and stop confusing my destiny.

( Call ends)

" Am sick and tired of all these, Lord I really love Michael like seriously speaking" I said and began crying. I removed the battery of my phone and threw it aside. Why am I always been rejected, aren't I beautiful, am sick and tired of all these. Maybe I should just forget about Micheal and stop pestering him so he won't hate me.

" Are you this weak, you love him don't you , why don't you fight for your man, use all your strategies and make him fall deeply and over heels for you. Why give up like an i***t" my inner mind yelled.

" You just need to calm down and don't force yourself on anyone so you don't appear cheap, put on your best character and your right man will come" my other mind said.

" No.. Don't listen, you must be strong and don't show you're weak, fight for him and take away any obstacles"

" No...That is a bad idea..."

" I bet you listen to men" I screamed out in pains as my two minds kept contemplating.

Dennis POV

" You can do other things, I will help in cooking" I suggested Washing the plates and Natalie rolled her eyes at me, finally I know her name.

" Can you just stop rolling your eyes like a remote Barbie doll" I said and she hissed loudly.

" You are not welcomed in this house so I don't need your help" she said almost shouting.

" But Micheal welcomed me, why are you proving so tough and stubborn" I asked and she laughed dryly.

" I disliked you at first sight, I don't like you a bit and so as his daughter Jadhiel. We don't like and what are you still waiting for.i just sometimes wonders what sort of friendship you have with my brother that will make you spend a night in his house. If you are not after something though" I looked at her shockingly.

What kind of a little witch is this?

I can't wait to teach her a bitter lesson by the time am into Micheal, am just being calm so I can get what I want.

We finished cooking in silence and I went to call Micheal and his so called daughter downstairs to eat after arguing with that strong head sister of Micheal.

Michael is damn rich with the magnificent mansion he built, I can't wait to accomplish my mission here. Am a rich woman, my phone rang distracting me from my thoughts. The caller happens to be Don, I ignored it and planned on calling him later, I got real business to deal with.

I was able to locate the room due to voices heard, I wowed at everything I saw. It smells money.

" Hey father and daughter,dinner is ready" I announced opening the door .

" Oh we are coming" that was Jadhiel's voice.

" Do you need help Micheal" I asked entering the room fully.

" I will try" he said smiling at me and managed to stand.

Jadhiel followed him by have s side downstairs.

Soon the family was eating as I fed Micheal after Natalie and Jadhiel has talked and talked. I wasn't even hungry at all,

" Dennis, aren't you eating" Micheal asked me worriedly.

" Am filled" I said and Natalie clears her throat in a sarcastic tone.

" Why" Micheal asked and I chuckled lightly

" Because Y has a long tail and two horns, c' Mon wat jhoor" I urged and he smiled as I fed him .

" You look cute while doing that, you must be a good mother" he commented making me laugh.

Jadhiel was quiet all these while doing justice to her chicken.

" Am filled, thanks " Micheal said staring at me and I gave him his juice. He took my hands and smiled.

" Thanks for your kindness,you have a good heart" Micheal said and I smiled.

" Thank...." I said and stood up to pack up the plates.

" Just leave the plates, am not an uncultured child like you" Natalie said and packed up all the plates.

" I will take that as I joke" I said to her almost in a whisper.

I took Micheal upstairs as jadhiel followed like chewing gum.

I helped him clean up his body before tucking Jadhiel to bed after she refused, I had to force her.

" Good night Micheal and I pray you get better tomorrow" I said and shut the door and sighed.

I went to the parlor and found no one in particular, I was a able to locate Natalie's room. I hate sleeping alone

" Don't tell me you're gonna sleep here" Natalie asked me as I sat on her neat arranged bed.

" And I am and even gonna wear one of your night gowns" I pressed forward and she shakes her head vigorously.

" Not my clothes and not in this room " she said and i smirked.

" Do you think you are the only one that is smart and talkative, just because am calm. I mad die oooi, I get skushi for brain so don't tempt me to anger" I said and she looked at me in amazement.

" I don't have your time, just because of my brother" she said and entered the bed and slept off.

I entered the bathroom and had a nice bath with scenting deodorant on my body. I came out and my phone began ringing, it was Don. I cut it immediately, Natalie was already sleeping.

She already dropped a night gown for me on the bed which I noticed was a new one.

" Good girl" I commented and I wore it, I sneak out to the parlor and called Don.

Don: hey babe, what happened, I was damn worried about you, I tried calling you but it's either it wasn't answered it's number busy .

Me: am sorry baby , just that I was not in a good position to pick it.

Don: fine, am at your doorstep waiting for you, please be fast, Missing you already.

Me: unfortunately, am not coming, I will be staying over at my friend's house, she was seriously attacked in the arm so i need to help her.

Don: is that how you keep dissapointing me Everytime, why are you hurting me. I love you so much and I want to spend all time seconds hour with you. You kept me waiting all through day and all you have to say is this.

Me : (feeling guilty) alright, am deeply sorry please forgive me baby.

Don:: alright goodnight.

Me: are you still angry with me

( Call ends).

I itched my head not knowing what to do, he should get lost please. Just then Natalie passed me and I was shocked , is this not the girl that was sleeping before I left the room. Hope didn't hear anything.

I went back to the room and refused to sleep, not because I want to but because sleep deserted me itself.

I checked the time and it says 11:48pm, I sighed and began thinking.

Thinking of how my life got this way and why I choose to just hurt men, remembering it brought tears in my eyes and the urge to suck men dry burned through me.

Natalie was already in the room sleeping since an hour ago.i stood up from the bed and decided to do my usuals, watching this T.V at nights.

I tiptoed out of the room my closing the door and was shocked to see Micheal.He wasn't sleeping too?

I tiptoed to him and covered his eyes.

" Hey who is that.... Somebody help" he called out and I smiled.

" Sssshhhhhh, don't wake them up, it's me" I said giggling and took a seat beside him.

" So your are still awake"

" Of course , I don't have anything doing and since sleep deserted me, I decided to come watch films before I saw you here. So how did you managed to get here" I asked curiously.

" I wasn't sleeping too thinking about the beautiful soul and kind heart in my house which is you're"

" Don't make me blush too much" I said jokingly and we laughed but not loudly.

" You deserve it dear, I really appreciate . So your are going to be leaving tomorrow morning, I hope you don't get late for work tomorrow. " Micheal said and laughed not too loud.

" Am not going, am staying here till you get Well and also keep you company.Dont worry about my job,I will explain some things to her" I said and he gasped slightly. .

" Just because of me..." He said staring at my eyes and I smiled and nodded.

He then smashed his lips on mine giving me a short kiss.

" Thank you so much, you're such a darling".
