Chapter Twelve
The early morning marriage took place in a small Boston chapel, with just Andrew, Catherine and Regina Daugherty attending, in addition to the bride and groom. Why so small a wedding it was never explained to Juliet, since all the arrangements been made without consulting her. But, it was clear from the outset, that Joshua Crow was anxious to bring his bride back to New Bedford, where his small shipping business needed his attention.
The journey to yet another new city, on top of a flurry of activity surrounding the wedding banquet and the wedding, had Juliet exhausted.
