Ben said he would be at the diner in twenty minutes. The wait is killing me. What information does he have? Is this what I needed all along? Why the hell didn't I ask him sooner?
I guess when I look at the bigger picture, I just didn't want to get Ben caught up in all of this. I know that Armers has something to do with all of this — he has to. Why else would he be involved in both my mom's case and Walter's? I just didn't want to risk Ben's career because I can't let something go. I just knew in my heart that now was the right time to ask for help. Ben was ready to throw in the towel on Walter... who knows, maybe even on me. I couldn't have that.
