My Dear Friend,
If you do not hear from me by tomorrow, then John and I did not make it.
I'm leaving this note in The Vault because I know you will check in on us. If the armory is still open, it means they've captured us and kept us alive - but it won't be for long. I need you to promise you will keep them from the contents inside. Swear on your family. I know I can't hear you say it, but I know that you will.
If I do not make it, there are a few things I want to say.
You've been the only friend I've had over these past years. For that, I'm grateful. You cannot understand the pressure I've been under since 1871, knowing that this day would come. Even more so when I learned that their power was slowly oozing from the tomb.
