WALTER'S JOURNEY
John leaves Walter at the precinct to handle the paperwork and book Steven for the night. He heads out to Cain's to get an early start on the Whiskey bottle that usually has Walter's name on it. However, tonight, that bottle will be calling John's name instead.
As the elevator doors finally close on John, Walter's demeanor, which had noticeably changed after his mysterious phone call, dropped even more. He no longer pretends to be 'just exhausted' as he put it for John's benefit. Something was clearly on his mind.
He glances at the paperwork left behind on John's desk. He places his hand on a file that he was meant to be working on, then holds in thought. After a brief moment, he brushes it aside and takes off toward the interrogation room where Steven is being held.
