An ancient castle, the exterior not so different from that of the castle in Arvernien, just a lot taller. The interior completely different, richly decorated with rare items that would cost fortunes and even a lifeline generational wealth, in the realm of mortals. The items include sea items and that of land.

A huge giant door cracked open to review a throne room, the energy surrounding the throne dark and not very clear for the naked eyes to see, on the throne was seated a slivery-haired man, he is seated in a carefree manner with his eyes closed and one leg raised over the arm of the chair, there was no crown to tell if he was a king but he sure looked scary even with his eyes closed, the room was filled up with thick black fugs, one need to strain their eyes to be able to see, this dark fugs were coming from the sliver haired.

Eros emerged with a smirked plastered on his beautiful face

"You Don't have to fill everywhere with your dark energy," he said waving his hand freely around the room, the dark fugs slowly got replaced by white ones, the room got lighter and slowly the fugs disappeared, Haldir's eyes slowly opened and his back strengthened

" I doubt you were actually sleeping, you must have had enough while on slumber" Eros taunted, Haldir didn't seem to care about his remarks, something was bothering him, he got up from the throne with his hands folded

"The child of prophecy, it wasn't actually a literal child, it was her, it was definitely her"

Eros didn't look confused nor surprise at his friends sudden remark, he has always known him to talk of random things out of the blue before and seeing him still with the same behavior was rather amusing

"What is your bargain with this child of prophecy, is it a mortal? I can get him for you, you know it's precisely very easy to access the land of human, they Don't acknowledge that we exist and even in their tales they think we only move at twilight and would burn down if the sun touches us" Eros rambled about with enthusiasm

"For somebody who hated the mortal realm with every strand in them, you sure know quite a thing or two about them," Haldir said casting a questioning glare at Eros

"Eeh a lot has changed, it gets lonely and boring when you stay alone, so I made a few trips to several mortal realms" Eros explained

"A few trips indeed, lonely, Alfredo is never lonely Eros," Eros rolled his eyes at Haldir for still pushing the topic

"She was the child of prophecy, the maiden whose power I couldn't pinpoint was the one, "for a day shall come when the child of prophecy would be born, one who possesses a power like lightening and that child shall be the end of you"

Haldir quote his curse word by word like the witch said, even in slumber he didn't forget that curse, and coincidently he came across the supposed child of prophecy immediately after he arose

"It's no mere coincidence brother, it came right for you," Eros said in shock

"No, it didn't I went for it, my thirst drove me to her, or perhaps fate, no it was the curse, the curse drove us to meet and now I must find her"

The door burst open and then a figure emerged and right beside him another with sliver eyes who looked a lot younger than every other person in the room.

"Master!" The first said kneeling in front of the sliver hair "I am sorry for coming late, nothing can justify my actions"

Haldir's face was cold as ice but his heart was softened on seeing his faithful servant after a long time

"Rise up Thanatos," he said as cold as ice

The warrior whose face is as strong as rock broke down in tears surprising everyone in the room except the younger fellow who had come with him

"You owe me a lot, you had bragged about your etiquettes so much you even made a bet" the young vampire said, Haldir's attention was drawn to him same with Eros

"And who is this sharp tongued fellow" Eros asked

"I am Zephyr, the son of lord Cassius" he announced with a proud smile

"Lord Cassius?" Eros questioned "oh the one famous for changing wife's" Eros said with a chuckle

"And what is this fellow doing with you Thanatos?" Haldir asked with a raised brows

"I have dismissed him on several occasions but he refused to leave my side, I had personally taken him back to his father but he doesn't seem to care a bit over his son's behavior.

"He has silver eyes, among the special ones," Eros said approaching the young fellow suddenly fascinated by his eyes, Zephyr quickly blocked him from seeing his eyes and moving over to Haldir's side "And feisty " Eros added with a smile, Haldir took a final long look at the young man beside him before finally asking Thanatos to clean his tears which are beginning to annoy him.

Thanatos is known for his cold and scary personality even sometimes scarier than his master, he is his master's shadow, and he is a warrior who never cries, even with his master still in slumber he didn't stop being faithful, he moved alone traveling the world, waiting for the return of Haldir, it was on one of his journeys did he come across Zephyr, just like every other day, Thanatos was drunk and preaching about the good deeds of his master, and how life has been without him for the whole kingdom, Zephyr was fascinated about this supposed master who was put to slumber by a powerful witch, others mocked him, some saying

"If your lord was so powerful, how come a common witch was able to put him to sleep"

But young Zephyr was fascinated and wanted to hear the story to the end and how this powerful lord was trapped by a witch,

"He wouldn't have been trapped if not for love"

Thanatos would always cry out when he was drunk, he never actually told the story in one piece, he played with words while speaking, perhaps because of alcohol, but Zephyr didn't mind and followed him around and finally, the supposed master is back, Thanatos lost his cool and cried while Zephyr was mesmerized, Thanatos would often brag about his master's beauty and beautiful sliver hair but Zephyr didn't expect to see a god-like man, Haldir's beauty and physic left him speechless, he concluded he has found his master and would never leave the sight of this man, he would become as royal and faithful as Thanatos, every young vampire needs a lord above him and he has found his...

"Her royal highness would be returning soon," prince Adonis said referring to Ajax, a royal guard and also a friend of his.

"Are you trying to place her highness's well-being on me, your Highness?" Ajax asked with a raised brow

"Princess Athena is strong-willed and needs a strong-headed guard, I can't guard her I have my duties and she wouldn't allow me" prince Adonis explained

"You don't need to explain your highness, it is my job to protect the royal household, I just prefer you to be straightforward and not corny with it" Ajax replied honestly, gaining a chuckle from Adonis,

They both stood quietly looking at the lake at the Northern coast of the palace, prince Adonis's wing. Few maidens with their work basket gathered near the lake where they do most of the washing in the north palace, they spread out their sheet and lay out the robes to be washed, not noticing the prince and his friend they began gossiping as they wash at the same time.

"Gracious heavens, she really did bewitch the Emperor, thought It was an exaggeration," one said

" she just got here and it's already promoted, only a witch can do that"

"Well it's no use of her constant visit to the East palace especially at dusk, finally her visit proved fruitful"

Ajax's face turned sour listening to them

"How dare you do your dirty gossip in front of his Highness!" Ajax said with an authoritative voice startling the maidens, they immediately went on their kneels and began apologizing, prince Adonis who was confused at the whole event dismissed himself ignoring their pleas and turned to his friend

"What was that for?" prince Adonis asked with a confused glare

"Am sorry for raising my voice, I just dislike gossip" Ajax said with a frown

"No not that, what were they talking about? Who bewitched my brother?" Adonis asked

"Oh that, you remember the maiden who was saved by the Emperor" Adonis nodded

"Oh yes, her story is all over the kingdom, they spread rumors about her every day, especially just yesterday she was promoted to a maiden at the Eastern palace, rumors have it was by your brother the Emperor " Ajax explained

"You sure do know a lot for somebody who hates gossip," Adonis said with a smile making Ajax slightly embarrassed

" The news was everywhere your highness" Ajax defended

"So she has been promoted to the Emperor's maidservant," Adonis said with a calculating tone

"Don't tell me you hate her like every other person your highness?" Ajax asked in a low tone

"Do I need to like her, or hate her, what value would she add to my volumes, in as much as the Emperor's style of judgment is unique it didn't mean he was wrong, I also find it disturbing that we put labels and blame to somebody for things we don't understand" prince Adonis explained nonchalantly as he began walking to the East palace with Ajax following behind.

"Do you have a report for the Emperor?" Ajax asked

"I always have a report, my men are still guarding the border and their supplements are running down, but today am not going to see the Emperor as the General but going to see Gildor my brother and as Adonis"

Adonis replied with a smile.
