Dimitri's POV
(Flashback)
“Mum!” I scream when his fist violently collides with her face.
It's the way my father has always been. He'd get drunk and angrily hit me for every mistake. The worst part is when he'd hit my mum for no reason, and she'd take it without retaliating. Then he'd mutter cruel words which probably hurt her more than his punches…
“f*****g b***h!” He cussed, “I was ready to die so I don't have to continue putting up with you two. But you want me to remain trapped in this cruel world.”
I looked at her face to notice the black circle around her eye, and a stream of tears came rolling down her pale face.
