Ashley's POV
“Miss Ashley? Miss Ashley!” His voice pulled me out of my trance.
I removed my gaze from the weapon to face him.
“Miss Ashley, I need you to gently slot the cartridge into the firearm and hand it over to me.”
“I'm sorry, but I can't. I just can't.”
He sighed and reached for the gun.
“It's okay Miss Ashley. I'm going to pull over to the side of the road and we're going to wait for them to get out of their car. If anything goes wrong, I need you to move over to my seat and drive as far away as possible.”
“Do you understand?” He asked.
I nodded.
As quickly as the car came to a stop, he pulled out the bullets and slotted it into the gun. But the car behind us didn't stop. Rather it slowly drove past us before returning to full speed.
