GEMMA I pant, my hands and knees on the floor. George looked down at me. I looked up at him hopefully, "What was my time?" I asked. "Forty-one minutes," he said, looking at his stopwatch. "A minute faster than yesterday." We'd been training for almost a week and I could run a 5k in forty-one minutes. But according to George, that was a poor number. I didn't like how things were going.
