NATE I startle awake from my sleep and sit up. I was having the same nightmare. The same one I've had since I was a child. But, there was something different about this. The White Wolf was in it. She was running through the woods with me. I couldn't tell if I was happy, free or just letting the time pass but she was there. I wiped a tired hand over my face and let the quietness of my room settle around me. I turned on the bedside table lamp and checked the time on my phone. It was already midnight. I poured myself a glass of water. I drank it and laid back down, trying to go back to sleep. I felt this tug in my chest and my wolf whined in complaint. I couldn't deal with this now. I needed to go back to sleep. I had a lot of work to do tomorrow and there was no time to waste. "Gemma…"
