GEMMA I thought he would lie to me or something but I didn't feel anybody on me. I slowly opened my eyes and caught him staring at me with his arms folded on his chest. I scrunched up my face in disgust knowing he was scrutinizing me. Not that I could see his eyes moving away from my face, but he is cruel and he would surely be doing that. I suddenly felt naked even though I was covered up. There was nothing to use to cover up so I just covered my chest with my arms. He smirked and moved back a bit. "I am not one to force a lady. I don't do that. Every lady comes to me willingly and you will not be the first to break that law of mine." He sighed deeply and went to sit on the single couch in the room. "I will need some rest anyway. You can leave and Margaret won't find out about this." Huh? He was letting me go? That wasn't it right? Maybe he planned on teasing me. My heartbeat accelerated faster, as I wasn't able to predict what he would do next. Who exactly was he? I couldn't see his face as he wore a mask, but his blue-grey eyes registered in my head immediately. "Are you going to keep staring at me until I change my mind?" I got back to my senses and quickly climbed into the bed. Now was my chance to run before he changed his mind, well unless he was playing with me and he had his guard outside who would send me back in. No one has ever been nice to me, except Elias though. "And remember this," My heart skipped a beat and I halted at the sound of his voice. I knew it, he was playing with me, and now was the time to go back and satisfy the master. "You will come running to me yourself. Like I said, I don't force girls but they come to me. Now I have set my eyes on you and you must come back, begging for this." He said to me and I was made to gulp down the bile in my throat, feeling my heat throbbing so fast that it threatened to pull out of my chest. What was that? Without waiting any further, I ran out of the room and never turned back. It was almost the first moon and I need to get ready for it. I don't care what madam Margaret would do cause once I get my mate, I would be out of her house and she wouldn't be able to punish me for running away from the guest. I quickly went back to my room and picked up the gown I had set aside for the night. I quickly wore it, applied some makeup, and ran out, heading for the hall where the young people were gathered for the night. I was late. They were all standing in a straight line and the cloud was covering the moon, but it would clear off in some seconds. I ran to them and joined the line. I breathed out, trying to calm my beating heart. I made it even though I almost missed the time. I looked up and my gaze fell on Margaret who was staring back at me with rage covering her face and her fist rolled like a ball. Well, I don't care. After a few minutes, I wouldn't be hers to command or punish anymore. I quickly looked away and took my gaze to the cloud which was getting clear by the second and revealing the beauty of the moon coming forth. Not a full moon though. It would be the full moon in fifteen days. I shut my eyes immediately the moon came into view. It was time. An image appeared in my head of the person who was my mate as it was being done. I gasped aloud and shot my eyes open. My gaze fell on Elias who was staring back at me in shock. He was my mate. "You are my mate, Elias?" I questioned out loud and gasps escaped the lips of everyone present. I know I wished for him to be my mate but now, I will have to deal with my new mother-in-law, Margaret. He looked round and for the first time, I saw embarrassment lacing his features. "No, no it can't be. I can't be mated to you." He quickly said to me, with disgust lacing his voice. The world around me stood still and the last piece of my world fell apart. "But I just saw you in my vision. I am sure you saw me too." He shook his head and his face contorted in anger. "How would I be mated to someone like you? I am the next Alpha and you are just a lowly slave. It can never be." I swallowed hard and made to move forward but my body wouldn't move. "But it is fate that brings us together." "Oh shut up. There is surely a mistake." "But Elias, I love you. I always have. We can make this work between us." I said it out loud and everyone present in the hall laughed. Well, a lowly life like me, thinking of a future with their next Alpha? How foolish of me. "Very well then," He walked closer to me and said in a harsh tone I had never heard from him before. "I Elias Sergio, reject you, Gemma D'Laurence, as my mate. From now henceforth, we aren't bound by anything or any emotions."
