CHAPTER FIVE

DIANA’s POV….

“You heard me. Let go of her.” He said coldly, his hands still in his pocket and Ronnie scoffed as he pulled me even closer to himself, his hands roaming uncomfortably around me as I struggled to get away, my mouth still salty from the blood that was coming out of it.

“Take care of him, Boys.” He said and as his “boys” ran towards Alpha Kyros, he pushed me against the tree as he started to kiss my neck aggressively, his hand squeezing my left boob in the most disgusting way.

“Let go of me!” I screamed as I tried to get free from him, but then, he punched me harder in the stomach, causing more blood to come out of my mouth as it felt like my vision was starting to fade.

I gasped in pain as he grabbed me by the hair, hitting my head right against the tree as I gasped in pain before falling to the ground.

He pulled me by my bra as he licked his lips lustfully. “You might be an omega, but, you’ve indeed got the right proportions.” He said as he made to grab my boobs again, but, before he could, he screamed in pain and almost immediately, I heard a loud thud.

I gasped as covering my chest, I looked towards where I had heard the thud and just there, I saw Ronnie on the floor, gasping in pain.

I fell to the ground immediately and just then, his shadow closed in on me. My breathing had become shaky and just as I raised my head, unable to make eye contact with him, I saw him standing tall.

He stretched his hand to me, but, I couldn’t bring myself to give my hand to him. Not after everything I had recalled. Not after everything he had done to me.

“Diana….” The moment I heard my name from him, I felt shivers travel down my spine, and they weren’t even from the rain. He recalled my name. I still felt that effect from my name leaving his lips.

I raised my head slowly, but before I could see him, I saw one of Ronnie’s guys running towards him with a knife.

“Alpha Kyros, watch out!” I screamed, but, before I could say a thing, he turned as he grabbed the man, turning the knife and twisting it right into his stomach as he sent him flying into Ronnie and I gasped.

Slowly, he took off his coat as he handed it to me. Tears streaming down my cheeks, I took it as I covered myself with it. He stretched his hand to me, but, how could I grab his hand? I couldn’t ever do that.

I got off the floor, but it was only after I did that I realized the amount of damage that had been done to me. My legs gave way immediately and I found myself crashing into his arms. The moment his scent hit me, it felt like my eyes went inside-out, and, that was the last thing I recalled before it all went pitch black.

It felt like my head was being hit continuously. My whole body ached and I could still feel shivers. Just as I placed my hand to my head, I recalled.

“Rora!” I screamed as I jumped out of bed, my hand to my head.

As I made to get out of bed, it suddenly dawned on me that I wasn’t in my house.

I looked around the place, the freakishly expensive mattress, rugs, chandelier, paintings, windows, cupboard.. I couldn’t even afford one painting here if I worked three full years, so, what was I doing here?

I closed my eyes as I rubbed my forehead and that was when it all came rushing in; Looking for Rora, the rain, Ronnie being behind it all, asking Rora to run, Sienna finding Rora, Ronnie finally deciding to have his way with me, and… Alpha Kyros. Alpha Kyros!

My eyes widened as immediately, I got off the bed as I gasped. I stared at myself in the mirror, my clothes had already been changed. I placed my hand to my chest as I drew in a sharp breathe.

Alpha Kyros had brought me to his pack. For what? To complete what he didn’t finish all those years ago? To make sure he saw my wolf crumble in front of his eyes? How much of a monster was he?

It had taken me so long to get over what had happened and I had even gotten depressed. I tried to end my life because of what had happened. Finally, I moved on. I tried to bury everything that happened in the deepest parts of my memory.

If he came back here and found me, he could do worse and, I didn’t think I’d be able to bear it seeing him and his wife because I was sure that now, he’d have gotten married to her.

I rushed to the door, but just as I placed my hand to the handle, I realized it was such a stupid idea. How would I leave the pack unnoticed by going through the main door?

I turned to the window. This would definitely be a better idea. I rushed to the window as I looked out of it.

This part faced the back of the pack. I could see the maids in their uniforms, neat and beautiful. I mean, he had such beautiful looking maids, so, of course, he would have wonderful taste.

I wiped the tears that I could already feel streaming down my cheeks as I took in a deep breathe.

I would suffer an injury if I jumped from here, but, coming face to face with him would be worse, so, I had to bear whatever injuries I sustained from doing this.

Just as I climbed over the window, I heard the door creak and I gasped. I didn’t turn over to look. It would be such a waste of time. I closed my eyes and just as I made to jump, I felt a hand grab my hand.

“And what do you think you’re doing?” Raising my head, I gasped in shock as it felt like my heart stopped beating for a moment to see Alpha Kyros holding my hand.

Without much effort, he pulled me up, into the room, and I staggered as I stepped away from him.

“Diana….”

“You don’t have to say anything. I’m not staying. You don’t have to call your wife or an entire pack to humiliate me. I didn’t bother you all these years, so, you should know that I’m not interested in causing trouble for you.” I told him, like I had memorized the words.

“ Thank you for saving me last night and….”

“Last night? That was two days ago.” He said and immediately, I raised my head in shock.

“Tw…two days?” I covered my mouth. Rora! Sienna! They would be so worried.

“I’m so sorry for whatever inconveniences I have caused. I….” Tears were already starting to stream down my cheeks just being face to face with him and recalling what had happened years back. “I shall be on my way now.” I said and just as I made to rush out of the room, I felt his hand hold me back.

Before I could even process the adrenaline rush I had felt from just his touch, he pulled me to himself, my body crashing against his as his hand slowly made its way to my waist, pressing my small body even more into his masculine body as I felt my heart beat faster.

I could barely breathe and just then, I had to meet eyes with his. Almost immediately, I looked away from his eyes as I tried to break free from him, but, he held on to me, tight.

“Come back to me.” He said, so coldly, like he was making an order and I stared at him, shocked, but more confused.

“Excuse me?” He remained quiet as he just continued to stare at me and I hated whatever this was.

“You haven’t changed a bit in these years.” He said as the corner of his lips carved into a smile.

I felt disgust, anger and hatred staring at him. How could he even speak to me so informally after everything he had done to me? How could he speak to me like we were some sort of acquaintances? Especially after he had almost been the reason for my death.

“You have no right to speak to me like we’re acquaintances, Alpha Kyros.” I said as I tried to push him away, but, he only held me tighter.

“Let me go!” I struggled to get away, but, he was just too strong, and he wasn’t even making any effort.

“You’re still my mate, Diana. I am not letting you go.” He told me and I scoffed hearing him call me his mate.

Mate? It sounded so pathetic.

“Come back.” He said, in a lower tone.

“Why? So….. so….” My voice started to become shaky again and I could actually feel the tears stream down my cheeks.

“So you can tell me you can’t accept someone like me? No, thanks.” I said as I finally managed to push him away successfully.

“But you don’t have a choice, Diana. You’re my taken.” He yelled at me as next thing I knew, he slammed me against the wall, our faces, barely an inch from each other’s.
