17. Lightning Strike “I’m beat,” I said. “I really need to get some sleep. Will you come and stay with me? I think a few hours should be enough.” “I’m sorry, Helena. I need to run a quick patrol. I’ll be back before you wake.” He kissed my forehead and left. I headed straight to bed, even though I knew I would find it difficult to sleep.
