“We have a lot of things to do.“ I told Jason and Eric.

“J, tell Eric what you found out.“
It was the next morning, and I had called the two of them into my office.
“We found Estrella.“
“You did?“
“Yes.“
“Where?“
“Up north.“
I noticed there was an easy manner in the way they spoke to themselves now compared to the first day they met.
I wonder what changed between then and now.
“Up north?“ Eric asked.
“Yes, why?“
“My people are up north. That was my mother's old pack before she married my father.“
“I knew it!“ Jason slapped his knees, and my heart jumped.
“Knew what?“
“Sorry to startle you.“ He smiled. “When I first heard the news that she was found up north, I knew I heard it somewhere. That was where you were planning to take Lyra, no?“
