“Leaving?“ I tried not to get too excited until I knew she'd be talking about what I thought she'd be talking about.
“Yes,” she said, smiling knowingly. “You know, to Blood Moon.“
“We can leave in the morning. It's not a problem.“
Sergei, too, looked excited.
“I'll see you in the morning, then.“
“Yes. I'll see you… Wait, aren't you coming to dinner?“
“No. I'm full. I'll spend the night packing.“
“Alright.“
She closed the door, then suddenly swung it open again.
“Right, Sergei. I know I wanted to say something to you.“
“What is it?“
“Well, Alexis said you're going up north. Did he mention anything to you?“
I panicked and quickly swooped in before Sergei unknowingly gives me up.
