I barely slept last night. I couldn’t stop thinking about Lynx. Images of him consumed me, and our mate bond tugged at my very soul. I desperately wanted to give in, to embrace our obvious connection, but fear was holding me back.

Indigo was furious with me; I could feel her anger simmering just below the surface. She couldn’t understand my reservations. And to some extent, I couldn’t help myself.
As I got ready for the day, I tried to push my restless thoughts aside. Upon opening my door, I stopped in my tracks as I saw Matt and James standing to attention. Lost in my thoughts, I had forgotten they were still here.
