Katya POV
As I walked around the Redwood pack, quietly taking it all in, my mind was overloaded with thoughts of both concern and frustration. I was worried about my brother, Dom, and annoyed that everyone was treating me as if I were weak. I was a force to be reckoned with, dammit. Well, I was before I was pregnant. Not that I’m not grateful for the growing pup inside me. I just felt like I could do more to help Dom.
“Our mate just wants to protect us,” Indigo said. I knew she was right, but I knew there was something I could do. That was my home turf. I knew it like the back of my hand.
I shook my head. “We need to help, Dom. Maybe we can negotiate if I can come with them, but keep my distance. If I don’t enter pack territory, I can help them from a distance…”
