The stars have always watched the creations in awe, they envied their short lives and their emotions. Their little battles for food, territory and mates. Many of them had favourites amongst the creatures, one of such likeness was that of the wisp Babel for an orc, Nimrod.
Babel appeared to Nimrod, "I have watched you from the heavens since the birth of your species and found pleasure in you and the way you live your life. Your hunting fills your prey with terror, you are the greatest of all hunters. I am Babel, a messenger of Eva, the goddess of darkness in the universe. And I have come to crown you king."
Nimrod replied, "King? Who is a king? An how does your pleasure in me make my life any better? How do I know if you're here to kill me or help me? The gods have no time for the pleasures or longings of my kind. I am forever hungry for flesh and thirsty for blood, never tired to sleep nor too weak to die. I am a cursed being that has been placed on this boiling planet to perish."
Babel said, "If my mission was to kill you then you would already be dead. Eva instructed me to pass the knowledge unto you and to teach you the secrets of the universe. So that you may defeat your enemies in battle and become a demi-god on the earth. You will rule cities and control armies, all manner of creatures will worship you before your time comes to an end."
Nimrod replied, "Can you make me an immortal like the gods? To live forever and never age?"
Babel said to him, "The blood of the animals that you drink gives you life and power. You will live for thousands of years, but your name shall be for eternity. Everything that is worth living has a name and yours shall be Nimrod, henceforth you will be called by that name."
The atmospheric temperature of the first world was hot and the earth was rocky, it had numerous streams of flowing magma. Small amounts of water could be found in some parts inside the core of the planet were most of the animals were habited. The animals that dominated the planet were mainly reptiles. Orcs of this planet were very few, they had pale green skins that appeared red due to heat and scales which protected them from the immense heat from the Sun. They made clothing from the skins of the animals they killed and were taught ways to prepare their fleshy meals with the use of fire. It was on this planet that the Cult of the Sun was created, a sect devoted the the death of the Sun and Nimrod was at the helm.
Babel said, "As long as I am with you, I will give my power to you to use as you please. Melt the metals and forge weapons for you soldiers, let them wear armour and teach them to how to be better hunters of their prey. Let them make bricks from the rocks and build structures to dwell in."
So Nimrod made a great furnace at the core of the planet where he crafted weapons from metals, and bricks from hard rocks. He trained his some of his soldiers to be masons and how to use weapons to hunt. After he was satisfied with thier training, he wanted to test them in battle but there were no opponents except dinosaurs; monstrous reptilian creatures that fed on themselves and anything their saw teeth could pierce. So he began to wonder beyond the first dimension.
Nimrod said to Babel, "I wish to see the other worlds that you speak of in the garden of Eden. I want to travel beyond the inner realm into the dark worlds beyond. I want to see my soldiers in battle, to watch them fight other creatures other than reptiles."
Babel said, "That kind of ability is beyond my reach, I have shown the other worlds to you in mental images which is the best I can do. Only Eva has the power to grant your request. It involves opening portals that leads to other dimensions. You will have to search within yourself, the darkhole that leads to other dimensions. I can only show you the path, but it is you that will tread it on your own."
So Babel taught Nimrod how to speak to the Heavens, to communicate with the spirits of the universe through meditation. But because his mind was filled with darkness, he only heard the voice of Evil.
