I wake up in the front seat of my car as Jack pulls into what I assume is his driveway. I sit up a little, feeling a bit more awake. Maybe Dog Breath isn’t totally clueless because even now, if I’m careful, I don’t have too much pain. “You want some more pain meds?” Jack asks. I shake my head. I want to stay alert for now. Besides, I’m curious about the type of house Jack lives in. In the end, it isn’t worth the effort I expend. Jack’s house is a bit of a disappointment. It’s in an older neighborhood. The house itself seems small with a chain-link fence around a no-nothing yard, and a driveway leading to a detached garage.
