“What about the Martinez family? Aren’t they going to take this personally?” Jack asks.
“This is billions of dollars we’re talking about. Carlos will see things my way. Alejandro will make sure of that.” He shrugs. “But we figured out the truth, and I didn’t want another day to go by without you knowing. We found Amy’s killer, and you killed him.”
I see Jack’s struggle, trying to come to terms. And I get it. This is your family. Your parent. You want to trust them. You should trust them. But you don’t. “Probably should feel better about it than I do.”
